And yes, the gold plated has its place in body jewelry as we are talking about gold plated over surgical steel. Even if we know that gold plated is not forever, it is still much cheaper that plain gold jewelry and can be worn sometimes for years before the gold start wearing off. It all depends on the acidity of everyone though, and some gold plated body jewellery can wear off in a matter of a month to sevral years. But at this price, and if you like the look of gold on your body piercing, then it is well worth buying a few of these body jewels before going for the plain gold price.

You will find here PTFE body jewellery bars on their own if you want to buy just the bar. PTFE already mounted with surgical steel, titanium, or gold is available in the other respective sections. PTFE stands for plytetrafluorethylene, or teflon. The grade used is the virgin grade. We highly recommend PTFE body jewelry. For pregnancy, it is a must ! We usually recommend for that happy event a PTFE Bar with titanium balls (1 x 6mm for the lower ball and 1 x 4mm or 5mm for the top ball). As the belly grows, you just put a longer bar. These bars are available here on their own. For the balls, just go to the accessories section to buy the desired material. You can use PTFE jewelry to help a piercing heal, but also if you need to go in hospital, or simply use it because it is 100 times more comfortable than metalic bars.You will find a FAQ section on PTFE if you need to know more. Three different sizes are available in different length: 1.6mm (14G), 1.2mm(16G), or 2.4mm(12G). You can use your existing balls if the thread on them match the bars proposed. The new BioFlex body jewellery range is growing ! BioFlex is a safe, felxible and transparent body jewelry. Like the PTFE, you can cut BioFlex to size. It is available in jewelled banana, either in its pure form or in UV reactive colour giving a wide choice of colour combinations, to be used with a titanium or surgical steel top ball. Ultralight and moulded to shape, BioFlex has this advantage over PTFE. And because it is transparent, it can be used as well to hide your piercing.
